Get Creative with Collage: The Basics
In this workshop, we will create a supportive, no-judgment environment and learn how to express ourselves using a variety of found papers, magazine images, and glue. We will discuss ways to get started, prime your creativity, and then let it flow.
We will begin with a warm-up exercise using magazine imagery, followed by a handprint collage on a canvas board. We will also discuss how to maintain creative momentum in your daily life. This session is designed to be easy. fun, and stimulating!

Get Creative with Collage: Decorative Papers and Stencils
In this workshop, we will work with decorative papers, stencils, and acrylic paint. You will learn about sources for decorative papers, suitable substrates, and when to use different types of adhesives.
After creating a warm-up collage, we will create a collage on canvas board, choosing from a variety of provided stencils including a dancing figure (shown), hummingbird, dragonfly, lotus, and yoga tree pose.

Botanical Gel Printing: Basics for Beginners
Learn a technique to create one-of-a-kind prints with live botanicals — leaves and flowers — using a Gel plate and acrylic paints..
The audience for this class is beginners and those who have printed before but would like a refresher. This will be a fun environment to put you at ease!
All materials are provided.

Botanical Gel Printing: Using Botanicals, Stamps & Textures
Build on the basics by adding stamps and textures to your botanical printing repertoire. We’ll be printing with acrylic paint and using leaves, foam stamps, and various texture tools to create one-of-a-kind prints. Fun and engaging class!
Some experience with gel printing is desirable.

Botanical Gel Printing
Botanical gel printing is a printmaking technique where natural plant materials, like leaves and flowers, are pressed onto a gel plate covered with acrylic paint, creating unique textured prints on paper, capturing the delicate details of the botanical elements.
In this class we will learn techniques to produce fool-proof prints that you can use to make notecards and collages, or to put into a frame.
This class is for beginner to intermediate levels and all materials are provided. You will get step-by-step instructions with a materials list should you wish to continue printing at home.

Botanical Printing - Intermediate
During this 3-hour class, we will be learning techniques for botanical printing using a gel plate and Golden Fluid acrylic paints. Students should have some experience using a gel plate.
I will introduce several techniques throughout the class, covering using color, creating layers, and using textures to produce increasing complex and beautiful results. The prints you make can be used for collage & mixed-media projects, matting & framing, making notecards, and covering notebooks & journals. So many possibilities!
I supply all of the materials – gel plate, brayer, texture tools, and Golden Fluid Acrylic paints along with a variety of found and purchased botanicals to experiment with on various papers.
$45 (includes $10 materials fee) / to be paid online when registering for the class which is limited to 5 people.

I supply all of the materials including printer paper, craft acrylic paint, gel plates, and brayers. There will be plenty of botanical material to use … all collected in my yard and locally.

Using those Gelli Prints!
During this 1.5 hour workshop, we will use your gel prints to create notecards and matted pieces. You can give these as gifts or keep for yourself!
Native Bird with Textured Rubbing Collage Background
Make a bird-themed collage from a collection of printed images of native species provided for you. We’ll create the backgrounds from “frottage” papers that we create at the beginning of the class.
Gelli Plate Printing & Covered Journal
We will make multiple prints with the Gelli plate using acrylic paints with stencils, stamps, and leaves. We’ll select our favorite print and cover a blank journal.
Silhouette on Collage Background
We’ll create a collage on canvas board using a silhouette of your choice as the central image on a collaged background.
